Wedding Day Timeline

 

Here's an example of a typical 8 hour day: (this does not include getting ready photos or detail photos of invitation, dress hanging, rings etc..) It's definitely very customizable for instance if you are not doing a first look or family photos before ceremony then we'd have some extra time to possibly do some getting ready photos before hand. In general, this is how long each photo groupings take and in general what an 8hour day would look like!

8 hours w/ First Look

2pm: bride put dress on, jewelry and shoes
2:15pm: father first look
2:30pm: bride and bridesmaids portraits outdoors
3pm: Groom and groomsmen portraits outdoors
3:30pm: Bride and groom first look
3:45pm Bridal party
4pm: Immediate family photos (optional)
4:30pm: venue decor photos and set up for ceremony
5pm: Guests arriving candid shots
5:30pm: Ceremony
6pm: cocktail hour starts
6:10pm: extended family photos
6:25pm: bride and groom sunset
6:45pm: bride and groom freshen up and get ready for reception intro
6:55pm: Reception introduction
7-7:20pm: first dances and welcome / prayer
7:30pm: food served (photographers eat and relax)
8:15pm: cake cutting
8:25pm: bouquet toss
8:30pm: dance floor opens
9:55pm: Last dance / get all bags in the get away car
10pm: Final send off 

8 hours No First Look

2pm: Girls in matching outfits and champagne toast, some getting ready (earrings, shoes, lipstick)
2:15pm: Bride put dress on
2:30pm: Father first look
3pm: Bride and bridesmaids portraits outdoors
3:25pm: Immediate family photos (optional)
3:30pm: Groom ‘fake’ getting ready (jacket, tie, shoes)
3:45pm: Groom and groomsmen portraits outdoors
4pm: Immediate family photos (optional)
4:30pm: Venue decor photos and set up for ceremony
5pm: Guests arriving candid shots
5:30pm: Ceremony
6pm: Cocktail hour starts
6:10pm: Extended family photos
6:25pm: Bride and groom sunset
6:45pm: Bride and groom freshen up and get ready for reception intro
6:55pm: Reception introduction
7-7:20pm: First dances and welcome / prayer
7:30pm: Food served (photographers eat and relax)
8:15pm: Cake cutting
8:25pm: Bouquet toss

These are suggested timeline and can most definitely be EDITED to fit your day perfectly! You may remove or add items to this timeline. This is meant to be an example of what a timeline could include. Consult with your coordinator and photographer to come up with a detailed timeline that works for you!

In general, this is how long each photo groupings take and in general what a 10hour day would look like!

10 hours w/ First look

12pm: Details photos (bride: 3 rings, invitation suite, perfume, garter, bouquet, shoes, hanckie, jewelry, pin, dress, etc…) (groom: tie, cuff links, cologne, jacket, etc…)
12:45pm: Bride / Groom getting ready photos (make up / hair / matching outfits / hanging out) *If both are getting ready at the same hotel we will go back and forth to each room, if not my second shooter will go to capture the groom and I will be with the bride
1:30pm: Girls in matching outfits and champagne toast
1:45pm: Bride put dress on, jewelry and shoes
2pm: Bridesmaids reveal
2:15pm: Father first look
2:30pm: Bride and bridesmaids portraits outdoors
3pm: Groom and groomsmen portraits outdoors
3:30pm: Bride and groom first look
